In the popular lexicon the remix is another rendition of a song typically produced by another's ear. My latest paintings, The Remix Series re-imagines music and sound through a synesthetic eye. These works break down the structure of music (typically improvised, experimental and contemporary classical) into gestural shapes and colours related to the action of painting. Bringing the relationship of sound, colour and gesture into a single form.
