-The Cacophony Series will demonstrate the climate fight through sculpture to save our green space here the collective uses the Arboretum at the University of Guelph as its ground for artwork construction. The Arboretum went through a funding crisis that has since been resolved but works as an example that hits close to home rather than the abstractness of the green belt. -The Hear Us Through Collective have devised a kind of eco futuristic fable that uses sound based sculpture to send it’s message of the truth of a possible impending future. -We have collectively developed works defining the notion of eco futurism- developed through the thinking found in Afro and indigenous futurism. Afro futurism uses new and science fiction style technologies to secure their future. Indigenous futurism seems based in genetic power over the rest of the population. The collective is developing eco futurism through environmentally friendly sculptures that use wind to propel the message. In the case of the Here Us Through Collective we are developing record players that send an aural message through a wind-powered record player that uses visual components to help secure it’s message.
